Week 11 Reflection

Nov 2-6
I was able to learn more about student performances by administering and grading tests this week in Geometry. Many students did a great job on this unit, involving Geometric Proofs. It was very exciting to see the students learn a great deal about a topic they had never encountered before. I continue to enjoy learning about the students while teaching them more and more.

In Algebra, I am having a more difficult time. Students also took a test and many of the grades were quite disappointing. Students in this class do not voluntarily participate or interact. The huge personality differences between the classes is interesting and sometimes a challenge to adapt to.

Throughout this week, I also met with Mrs. Muniz and the other interns to discuss contract ideas/projects. I am looking forward to my experiences next semester, but am also going to miss seeing and interacting with the students daily. It is surprising, but the semester is beginning to come to a close. This means that I will begin to turn my full time teaching over to Mrs. Tucker in the near future.
